Vice Chairman of the Australian Chinese General Chamber of Businsess - Mr Chiu-Hing Chan has been selected to attend the Prime Minister's Multicultural Roundtable in Canberra.


The exhibition - An Oriental Journey in Queensland is now on display in the heart of Brisbane Chinatown. Community representatives attended the formal opening of the exhibition that is also being funded by the Brisbane City Council with the support of local Councillor David Hinchliffe.


With 32 Chinese students becoming part of the Red Dragon Soccer Team after passing test trials, the Australian Chinese General Chamber of Business has decided to form two teams, both of which will participate in matches with other ethnic soccer teams within the multicultural community.


Queensland's Chinese community officially have its own soccer team after the Australian Chinese General Chamber of Business with major sponsor ANZ Bank is funding the formation of the Red Dragon Soccer Team.

The team will initially comprise of students from the University of QLD Chinese Student Association and the QLD University of Technology Chinese Student Association.


In partnership with the Queensland Museum (QM), the Australian Chinese General Chamber of Business launch the An Oriental Journey In Queensland Exhibition at Queensland Parliament House to mark 150 years of Chinese settlement in the state along with celebrating the lives and pioneers whose achievements have shaped the state.

A total of 34 panels represent the history of Chinese migrants in Northern, Central and Western Queensland, which will remain on display at parliament house until the end of the month.
