Youth Affairs

Preparing our future leaders for the job is one of the essential tasks undertaken by ACGCB.

With young people entering into university to become prepared for the real world, the Australian Chinese General Chamber of Business is gearing these youth for the futurewith leadership building program; work opportunity; and crime prevention seminars.

ACGCB works closely with association members from the:

UQ Chinese Student & Scholar Association
QUT Chinese Student & Scholar Association
QUT Singapore Student & Scholar Association
Griffith University Chinese Student & Scholar Association
Brisbane First Chinese Scout Group

With seven youth groups are members of the Australian Chinese General Chamber of Business, including six university Chinese students associations, ACGCB have an obligation to look after youth development and providing youth opportunities to students.

Through the chamber of business, we have established two radio programs with Radio 4EB FM (98.1 FM) for the Singapore student (Sunday 10-11pm) and Chinese student community (Thursday
11pm-1am). These programs are essential with providing university students the opportunity to develop qualifications and work experience in the media industry. The radio program also provide a
source of financial income for the individual university associations through radio advertisements and sponsorships.

ACGCB also provide other essential services for our youth members in the crime prevention arena and assisting students to find employment through contacts we have developed in our trade and
business department.
